- Father Chrispin Oneko has
prepared this special message about his late brother, Vincent
Omwala Oloo, of Kisumu, Western Kenya. Vincent was killed when
he tried to rescue his parenets in their home which was set on
fire by the Kenyan Police. Both his mother and father survived,
are living with relatives now, and have begun to rebuild their
home. In Kenya, the average life span is roughly 46 years, and
Father Chrispin's parents are both in their 80s. We are so happy
to report the political settlement and an end to the terrible
human atrocities in Kenya.

- Vincent's All Too Short
Life
-
- Vincent was born on September
28, 1976 in Sagaya Village, Ruwe sub-location, South-Ugenya Location,
Siaya District in Nyanza Province in Western Kenya, Kisumu. He
attended Ruwe Primary School, then Madungu Intermediate School
before joining Butere High School in Kakamaga District. After
his High School graduation, he worked shortly in Nairobi before
coming to Kisumu where he worked at the Kisumu Cotton Mills (KICOMI).
At this point he met with the prominent Kisumu lawyer, Mr. Aluoch
Olago, and joined his legal team. He worked faithfully until
the time he met with his tragic death on January 4, 2008 when
he was shot in cold blood trying to save his parents whose house
was razed to the ground by fire set by Kenyan Police; may Vincent's
soul rest in eternal peace.

- Those Who Remain Will Always
Remember and Cherish Vincent
-
- Vincent's wife, Seline, and
their three children survive him. Vincent was a good person;
he was faithful, loving, caring, friendly, generous, and above
all, a God faring man. Now he is gone and all of his family and
friends must accept our loss, but we must never stop praying
for him. Just as Jesus forgave those who killed Him, I forgive
those, the killers of my brother, Vincent. Vincent, we all miss
you physically, but remember that you will forever be with us
spiritually! May Almighty God have mercy on you, forgive you
your sins, and bring you to everlasting life. May your soul and
all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen. Vincent's
burial has been postponed three times and his body not yet interred
due to the unrest in my country as part of the aftermath of the
Kenyan General Elections. Vincent's burial was finally completed
on Saturday, January 26, 2008 in Kisumu in Western Kenya.
